Time is running out...

It is just a few short days before our family is in a new state, in a new house, and I will be at a new job.

For those of you that have done this before then you know the stress that comes along with it... and I am feeling it.

I have not sold my house in Y-town yet. We have had a couple of looks and a couple of people have downloaded the listing off the web. If we don't sell this house, then we will have to rent. The good part about that is: a. It will give us a little more time to find a house. b. We at least have a place to live for a year!

We have been trying to get ready to move amidst the stomach flu and colds. Have a sick family doesn't help the situation!

Here are a couple of things I wish I would have done different.

1. Painted the house neutral colors as soon as we knew we were leaving.

2. Put my house on the market earlier.

3. Asked for a couple of weeks severance so that I could get ready!

I am sure there is more that I wish I would have done in advance. Lesson learned. I hope I am able to share my experience that will help someone else!

Oh well... Please pray that my house will sell quickly and that the move is not overly stressful for my family!
